This year, the BCA spring meeting was held virtually for the first time. The planning and organizing committees, however, did an excellent job putting together a variety of excellent talks spanning a rich range of topics. On the first day, following the YCG meeting, Aly presented his recently published work on the Ti(III) diamond and square network pseudo-polymorphs of KTi(C2O4)2.xH2O in the “<3D: Structure and Properties of Low-dimensional Materials” session that was chaired by Lucy. In the following day, Lucy was awarded the Lonsdale Lecture prize, which, funnily enough, Aly as the chair of the session in which Lucy presented an overview of her group’s research. Aly particularly enjoyed the talks held in the PCG sessions.
