This week, Lucy gave an invited talk at the British Crystallographic Association’s (BCA) Spring Meeting at the University of Lancaster. Lucy spoke about our recent low-temperature studies of TbInO3 in the Extreme Conditions session. The keynote speaker for the session was Prof Stephen Blundell from the University of Oxford, who gave a fascinating talk on muon spectroscopy measurements at extreme conditions. There was also an excellent Physical Crystallography Group plenary lecture from Prof Sharon Ashbrook (University of St Andrews) who gave an overview of her group’s recent work exploring disorder and dynamics in solids using solid-state NMR methods.
