This week, Lizzie started her secondment in the group of Prof David Scanlon at UoB, where she will learn how to perform density functional theory (DFT) calculations. She is excited to learn this new skill as part of the EPSRC CDT in Topological Design programme, and apply it to her S = ½ kagome metal-organic magnet system.
