In May, Jacob visited the University of Toronto for the 13th International Conference on Highly Frustrated Magnetism, which celebrated 25 years of HFM.
The conference had an amazing atmosphere, with lots of discussion arising from the brilliant talks and the two exciting poster sessions. His highlight talk of the week was by Alannah Hallas from the University of British Columbia on the new frontier of mixed anion rare earth magnetic materials.
Jacob would like to thank the conference organisers for bringing together the magnetism community for such an insightful meeting, and is looking forward to the next HFM in Munich!
